Busy Beavers

Late fall can sometimes be seen as a dreary time of year in the Adirondacks. It is after the leaves have fallen and before the ice stretches across the ponds with snow blanketing the woods, but at camp we think this time holds its own beauty. This morning at camp was one of the those times, with fog rolling across the pond, and the mist between the trees. The animals that have not traveled south for the winter are preparing their food stores and dens in preparation for the winter. Walking along the pond, signs of the beavers getting ready can be seen by the fresh marks on a tree truck.
