Visiting Day at Camp!

“It’s always great to come back to camp.  I loved it when I was a camper, and I love it as a parent.”  – Laura

Parents, alumni and friends came to camp Saturday for the 113th Pok-O Picnic and visiting day.  They spent the day seeing their kids in class and activities, enjoying a barbecue lunch, and playing at the docks and other camp facilities.

For some kids, the day’s highlight was getting away fro awhile. “I went rafting and had Chinese food in Burlington,” said Bridget.  Indeed, food was a big part of the day.  “We went to our family’s camp,” reported Ruby.  “I had lunch, ice cream, then dinner.”

Kids whose parents couldn’t make it to camp (above) were treated to a day at the mall, where they could hang out, eat, shop and go to the movies.

“I ate, and bought a book”  – Andrew S.

“The best part was the movie (Despicable Me 3) – Seigo

“It was OK, but not like a California mall”  –Sienna

“The mall was pretty cool.  It was fun and the food was good.”  –Victor

“I like the idea (of going to the mall).  It was a good replacement for my parents not coming.”  –Will P.
