Races and Cheers!

The rain could not hold the tribes back.  They met at the MacCready Field.  The skies seemed to clear for just a moment. Perhaps a well wish from The Great Spirit.  Then, the races began.  First in line, was the leap frog race; a classic.  Onondaga and the Mohawk were loud and proud at the start.  It became questionable whether the rain would affect the canteen fill race, but the judges kept the event rolling and the campers were un-phased.  Cayuga, Seneca and Tuscarora upped their volume to match their opponents by the time a break in action was reached.  Then came the tribal cheer.
(Click here for a video of the cheers.)

Sam spoke about the races and said that it was “great but really wet.”  However, he did not think that the rain made too much of a difference.  For certain, there were slips and slides on the field.  Yet, the competitive spirit kept everyone warm and focused. After drying off and eating dinner, it was revealed that Onondaga were the victors, followed closely by Mohawk and then Cayuga
Great job and good luck in the coming games!
