Rooting for the Enemy

The Pok-O-MacCready Senior boys – and Highlander girls – made their annual trip to the ballpark Monday evening, riding the scenic ferry across Lake Champlain to watch the Vermont Lake Monsters play a single-A minor league game in Burlington.16base2

“It was great, very exciting,” remarked Jackson K, who interestingly added that they spent the day rooting for one of the opposing players. “Blaze, #12 from the Tigers. He was the one player who actually responded to us when we called out his name. I think he threw us a ball too.”

Jackson, who has attended several Lake Monsters games with his family said that “You usually don’t yell and scream too much, but with camp we were just pumped to yell and scream in public. We may have taken it a bit crazy, but it was just so fun to be with all your friends, out of camp and just get food, snacks, dessert whenever you want, and watch a baseball game.”
