The tribes are once again at battle!
Monday night’s council officially kicked off tribal days. While four events have already been staged, the real competition now begins, with eight contests scheduled over the next 40 hours.
At the council fire, the game’s coordinators outlined the expectations for all braves: Not just skill and strength, but the need for – and expectation of – teamwork and fair play. “It was a good council fire,” said Liam, of the Cayuga. “It was fun, and the fire was roaring!”
In addition to the blaze, the highlights of the evening were the passing out of feathers, and a dance performed by the Chiefs and Sachems of all five tribes.
