In a pair of inter-camp soccer matches held Friday afternoon, Pok-O-MacCready won one and lost another.
AT NORTH COUNTRY CAMPS: Ashley scored five goals, thoroughly dominating the action as Pok-O won 8-2 in a game featuring an older, coed squad. While impressive in her performance, Ashley played things down, instead focusing on the experience: “It was fun to hang out with the boys, and to visit another camp.”
Nora, Parker and Kassa also scored for the victors.
AT POK-O: The younger boys team dropped a close 7-5 decision to Camp Lincoln. “It was close for awhile,” said Henry, who tallied four assists, “and it was a fun game.
Charlie scored three times for Pok-O. “We did OK considering two of our best players were missing, and we played the whole game with no substitutes.”
Martin B played goal for the Pok-O squad. “I was pretty easy at first. I was a little nervous but it was fun playing another camp. I blocked a lot of shots, and some other shots I didn’t block!”
