Classes began Wednesday morning for the girls campers (see some opening day pictures HERE), and Thursday for the boys, who were hiking the day before.
Campers have between 3-4 activities a day, every day, chosen by them. CLICK HERE to see session #2 camper schedules, but be warned: campers can, and will make changes faster than we can keep up with the list!
“I like how I got to pick some new classes plus stick with some of the ones I liked,” said Kate C, a seven-week camper. When asked her goals for the second session, Kate mentioned that “I would like to try and move up to 20 yards in archery.”
KaMan is at camp for the very first time, and is taking music class. “I am learning chords,” she said of her first-ever experience on guitar. “And some new songs too.”
Papouto, another full-season camper, prides himself in learning new things. “I did blacksmith and music last time. Now, I’m trying sailing. There was no wind (this morning) but it was still fun.”
Three-weeker Claire returns to Pok-O-MacCready for her fourth summer. “It’s nice being back in classes. This year I really wanted to do pottery and I’m really excited because I didn’t know if I was going to be any good at it but, so far, it seems like it’s probably gonna turn out ok.”
