In a tournament that even the champion admitted was lacking anything resembling drama, Adam D (above, left) captured the Pok-O Open tennis championship in straight sets Wednesday morning at the Pok-O Plex® sports complex.
“There’s not a whole lot I can say about it,” said Adam of his 6-0, 6-0 win over 2014 runner-up Chase. Adam stormed through the draw (a mixed boys/girls field for the first time since 1993) without dropping a single game. In doing so, he also becomes Pok-O-MacCready’s first-ever three-time gentleman’s champion.
