“I’ve Fallen (in love)”

Below is an excerpt from an original poem, composed by staff member Abby Davis, and read by the author during Sunday’s lakeside staff gathering.  The words resonate with anyone who has ever been to, or returned to Pok-O-MacCready.

007“I’ve Fallen (in love)”

I’ve fallen in love with warm sunsets and chilly evenings
I’ve fallen in love with early morning breakfast

and spam cooked with Whisperlite® stoves
I fell in love, and I didn’t even know it.

I’ve fallen in love with dining hall songs and piggy back rides
I’ve fallen in love with clearing games

and van rides with the radio on.
I fell in love, and I didn’t even know it.

-a poem by Abby Davis (MacCready Intermediate Section Head)
