Pok-O-MacCready’s oldest Greek tradition, the Greek Feast, actually precedes Greek Games by some 20 years. Now, it has become the traditional ending celebration for the 24 hours of hard battle that is the Greek Games.
The evening of merriment includes a feast of chicken, potatoes, grapes, vegetables and wine (punch). The entertainment is provided by the mortals performing songs, dances, cheers, and feats of agility and strength, in order to please the Gods and others in attendance.
Once again, the Greek Feast proved to be the perfect bridge event, connecting the high pace and energy of battle, with the somber reverence of the closing ceremony at Delphi.
