Visiting Day for the second session is took place Saturday at Pok-O-MacCready!

Parents and friends had the opportunity to take advantage of the beautiful weather by seeing their children in morning classes; attending the Pok-O Picnic; and swimming, boating, and playing around camp all afternoon.

Of course, many families chose to leave camp for the afternoon. “I went to Burlington for a fancy lunch, and walked through a plaza and shopped,” said Nick, while Kelsey “went swimming with a friend, and out to dinner at Indian Bay Marina.”

13parents203Other excursions included Tatym‘s to Lake Placid where “we played miniature golf and ate.”  But Tatym, like so many kids, said that “The best part was seeing my parents!”  Chase concurred, adding that “I went for a walk in a park with my Mom and Dad and was excited to see my dog!”

Olive and Elrick were among the few campers who had the 13parents29rare treat of having visitors during both session parent’s day.  “My parents came for both the four week and three week days and I was happy; we had fun both times.”  The visit to Elrick was a surprise:  “I didn’t expect them to come back, but my Dad did.  We watched a really cool movie and I was happy he came!”

Campers who did not have visitors had the chance to watch movies as well (Life of Pi and A Bugs Life, on DVD at camp), before everyone gathered for a late afternoon dinner at the North Country County Fair, and Bingo night.
