Into the Wild

Under a bright blue sky, every boy’s camper is heading into the woods, or on to the water, Wednesday morning.

The one day of “mandatory” hikes serves two purposes:  1) To introduce new campers to the beauty and wonders of the Adirondack Wilderness and, 2) to evaluate the campers’ hiking ability, woods skills, and desire, in order to best place them on upcoming trips.

Following the mandatory hikes, campers will have the option, virtually every day, to choose from a list of optional trips, including rock climbing; hikes up the high peak 46ers; hikes up nearby smaller mountains; boat trips; waterfall excursions and other wilderness adventures.  See a full list of Pok-O-MacCready trips HERE.  And check back tomorrow for trip reports and pictures.
