The boys from Pok-O-MacCready were quite a bit short handed Monday as they traveled to North Country Camp to face LIncoln in Ultimate Frisbee.
The 15-5 loss was the result of the fact that “we were without a lot of our (older) ADV kids,” said Anthony, one of the stronger players on the day for Pok-O. “But we played hard and played well with who we had, but we were outmatched.”
With so many options to choose from, the older, better Pok-O players were on a 46er finishing hike. Following the 15-5 loss, the two teams thought it would be better to play a mixed squad game, with players from both camps joining up for a friendly exhibition. “It was fun playing mixed teams,” said Anthony, with Adam D adding, “They (Lincoln) were bigger than us, and better than us, but sometimes it’s fun to play with better guys because you get to learn!”
