Pok-O-MacCready Outdoor Education Center Facilities
Our campus consists of over 300 acres inside the beautiful 6 million acre Adirondack Park, the East’s Largest Wilderness. The property is crisscrossed by more than 15 miles of cross-country skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and nature trails. Our Waterfront sits on the southern shore of Long Pond, providing easy access to canoeing, and fishing. Long Pond also provides great areas and materials for our Pond Ecology classes.
The Pok-O-Queen is our flagship building. It houses the Teachers’, Students’, and Staff Lounges, our administrative office, and a dining hall that can seat 110 people. Indoor classes and some activity debriefs take place at the Pok-O-Queen.
Our four winterized dorms- MacCready Lodge, Aunt Sarah, Junior House, and the Farmhouse- can host 110 students and adults. In the spring, the 180-seated Robinson Dining Hall opens. Guests may also stay in our more rustic Lakeside Cabins in September and June.
