“Looking up the Glacier de Cheilon to Mont Blanc de Cheilon, Switzerland”
by Wally Young (Pok-O-MacCready: 1964-1974)
This gorgeous panorama captured first prize in the American Alpine Institute photo contest (November, 2007). The picture was taken during a successful July 2007 ascent of Mount Blanc in France by Young, and his daughter Macky (current MacCready camper). In fact, two Young entries made the final cut. “Thanks to all of those who voted for me!”
“Skiing into the Light”
by Jim Kobak (Pok-O-MacCready: 1979-1999)
A second place winner in the Fasterskier.com contest, Kobak snapped this photo of teammate Chris Rose during a training run on Reber Road in Willsboro. “It's not every day that Reber Road in Willsboro wins something. (I took the photo of Chris Rose at the top of Schoolhouse Hill. We were doing a rollerski-run up Sugarloaf workout in early September)”
