ANOTHER BIG CAMP WEDDING

Nora Elton and Chris Durlacher were married on June 30, 2009 in Massachusetts.

The bride and groom met while working together on the 2005 Pok-O-MacCready staff.  Combined, the Elton and Duralcher families have sent eight children to camp as campers; six of them have gone on to become counselors.

Pictured (left) is a large contingent of camp friends and family who attended the wedding.

BIG CAMP WEDDING:  Recently, Meghan Daley married Michael Taptick in Killington, Vermont.  The outdoor service and tent reception were attended by dozens of camp family and friends (pictured above). Both the bride and groom are former campers, counselors and section heads.  Meghan becomes the fourth (out of four) member of her family to meet their spouse at Pok-O-MacCready.  The Tapticks are expecting their first child in Spring, 2009.

BOYS OF ‘69:  While Neil Armstrong was walking on the moon and thousands flocked to Woodstock, Phil Corell spent the summer of 1969 as Headmaster of Pok-O-Moonshine’s Pioneer (Junior) section.  Five of his campers from that summer- Tom Lynch, Tim Singer, Ken Herz, Robert Gertner and Andy Paine- posed for this picture during a mini-reunion at summer camp’s Parents Day picnic.
