Long Time Camper Runs for Office

Carch on Democratic Ticket in Florida

Carch  “When I moved to Indian River County from upstate NY to be near my parents, I met with many people who are unhappy with the current voting system in our county. They felt their vote would not count and they were uncomfortable with the voting machines being used.”

Michael Carch goes on to say: “I want to change these feelings!” And because of that, the Pok-O-MacCready summer camp alumnus and outdoor education instructor is running for Supervisor of Elections in the hotly contested electoral state of Florida.

Carch, who was a camper for 12 consecutive summers (a record for a child of a non-staff member) writes, “Starting at age 5, I attended Camp Pok-O-MacCready, in Willsboro, New York. The camp is located in the Adirondack Mountains. I greatly enjoyed the outdoor activities and advanced through the ranks to work as a summer camp counselor for 4 summers. During theCampaigning same period, I worked as an Outdoor Education Instructor at Pok-O-MacCready Outdoor Education Center, often interacting with teachers and students who were taking day to week-long trips to our facility in the Adirondack Mountains.

“I worked as a carpenter for 2 years with Cloudsplitter Carpentry while living in Essex County, New York. During the same period I became involved with the North Country DFA, attending meetings and rallies in Plattsburgh, New York.”

Carch is currently campaigning around Indian River County, Florida (right). No word whether or not his rallying cry is  “C-A-ARCH: CARCH CARCH CARCH!”
