Rattlesnake and Bare 7/7/04
Route:
Departed 14.00 from camp
Hot hike down Route 22 to Rattlesnake
Hike up Rattlesnake was genuinely a lot of fun. Blake Artuso had proved himself worthy as the group comedian, keeping spirtis high with people laughing all day.
Rest Hour (35 minutes) was taken on top of Rattlesnake, good place for it, a view of Lake Champlain, Long Pond, the High Peaks, and Camp Pok-O-MacCready itself.
Hike back toward camp & went up Bare.
Dropped packs at Bare Spot and ran to summit.
20 minutes were spent on Bare just admiring the view, an incredible view from a mountain so close to camp.
Got back to camp, cooked & ate in the rain.
Finished just in time to get a well-deserved early night in bed.
