The Willow Report
Hi all, if you don’t already know me I’m Willow Lee Herz, camp’s youngest camper.
Even though I’m only 9 months old, I still get to experience a lot of the great fun of camp.
My favorite part of camp lately has been the fruit bar. It’s amazing ! Every day there’s fresh oranges, apples, green and red grapes, nectarines, bananas, and plums. The best are the nectarines, even though the
juice runs all down my shirt, it’s worth it.

It’s me, Willow!

I really like MacCready dining hall announcements. The girls are always clapping and screaming. They sing great songs like “The Beaver Song” and “Amazing Grace”. I don’t know how these girls
have so much energy all the time. By the time lunch is over I’m so exhausted from all the excitement that I have to take an hour and a half nap.
In the morning my dad, Squeaky takes me to breakfast. It’s really weird, he plays the trumpet and all the boys run up the hill like madmen. I’m glad I’m a girl. At breakfast, Mike Gast, the cook,
who looks kinda like Hagrid from Harry Potter serves everybody two kinds of oatmeal from a giant cauldron. Mike’s always happy and the food has been great. Everyone’s
favorite still seems to be chicken patties.
Today it cooled off, it has been so hot and humid for three days that I have been getting a rash between the
third and fourth fold under my chin. It’s sunny, breezy and bee-utiful today, because I’m a baby I have to wear a hat, but everyone else is comfortable in their new campt-shirts, the one’s with the 100th year logo on
them.
Well gotta go, It’s time for carrots and beef and mixed fruit ( the kids are having baked ziti ). More soon…….
Love,
Willow
