Sunday 11th of July saw the first horse show of the summer for the riders of Poko MacCready. Held at Willow Hill, the show had
classes for all standards of rider- from leadline to crossrails and low hunter classes. After breakfast, 37 girls from MacCready
descended upon Willow Hill, joined by 19 horses and Blake Artuso- Poko’s only representative! Despite an early threat of rain, we enjoyed a wonderfully sunny day.

low hunter. The standard of rider from both Willow Hill and MacCready was extremely impressive, with Liana Blum being awarded first
place in the first section of the class, for her outstanding jumping round on Lucky Charm. Sara Horsey was named overall champion of the low hunter division, after
an excellent performance with Harvey. Jess Marx and Sporty took reserve champion. Veronica Beer managed to be placed in the low hunter division despite an
impressive fall when she and Lady Cricket had a disagreement as to which way they wanted to go. The leadline class which ran at the same time as
the low hunter was equally exciting, with Kylie Edwards riding Hickory particularly well to first place.
Jamie Konowitz and Honey proved to be a winning combination, taking Champion in the walk trot under 12 class. Close

behind them were Emily Poirier and Roxy as reserve champions. In the over 12 section of this class, our riders did just as well, with
the Newbert twins- Carli and Jaclyn taking champion and reserve champion on their mounts, Othello and Mikey. Christie Civetta and Hickory put on a fantastic
show in the walk trot canter class to become champions. Reserve was Heidi Taggart who was riding her all time favorite MacCready horse, Colonel. Bridget Schaper had
a particularly difficult ride from Del but managed an impressive performance nonetheless. Molly Babcock riding Lucky Charm and Claudia Fisher with Saint took
the champion positions in the last class, the crossrails.
A great day was had by all, with Poko MacCready campers and horses behaving wonderfully. Everyone is now preparing for our next shows this Sunday. Click here to see more images from Sunday.
