READING, WRITING, ARITHMETIC. AT CAMP, CLASSES ARE FUN!
With over thirty instructional activities to choose from, campers have a tough time selecting just three or four to take every day. Regardless of what classes they choose, the kids all appear to be having a good time. Activities began today for the girls, while the boys begin their morning classes on Thursday. Among the offerings:
Volleyball: “It’s a lot of fun. I’ve done it before at my other camp, but it’s a lot more fun here.” (Sydney)
Sports: “It’s fun meeting new friends and playing with them” (Laura B)... ”It’s a lot of fun and it’s not really competitive. We don’t keep score; it’s more about playing.” (Camy)
Tennis: “We learned the forehand and backhand, it was fun. I’m taking homestead class next.” (Mauve and Cate)
Riflery “I shot lefty for the first time and was able to score.” (Rachel)
Riding: “It’s Great! I haven’t ridden all year, so it was nice.” (Amanda B)
Crafts: “The teacher asked us questions and we had to answer them by drawing a picture.” (Dakota)
While everyone can participate in just a few of the multitude of offerings, campers do get a chance to take other classes during Saturday morning “Club” period, and during evening section activities.
