MOVING ON IN

Campers get comfortable as the three week session begins.

NO TIME TO WASTE

movingonin4There was no hesitation from the three-weekers as Session #2 got underway yesterday here at camp. Many campers were happy to see familiar faces on the MacCready field, while others took in the scenery with wide eyes and wonderment. Newmovingonin3 three-weeker, John Ferguson commented that he was “just glad to finally be here.” Alaina Ring “couldn’t believe that I was here. It didn’t hit me until I had dirt in my shoes; then I knew I was really at camp.”

Returning three-weeker Sarah Mackay said she was “really excited to see my friends from last year.” Many campers wanted to start choosing their classes right away. Griffin Brettler explained, “I spent the past four weeks of my summer at home, but here at camp I have so much that I can do.”

“EVERYTHING’S ZEN”zen3

Last night Pioneer campers practiced a lesson in humility while trying to get “centered” during “The Monk Game.” The group was spotted around camp chanting, bowing and channeling positive energy.

Jacob Fields remarked that the “meditating” was “the best part,” while Jared Brown felt that it was “a good winding down activity before bed.”
