The three week session officially began today with campers arriving as early as breakfast time to begin their stay at camp.

Campers wasted no time moving in and were already participating in games and activities with their section.

Tomorrow MacCready campers will attend classes, while the boys head out for hikes.

ESCAPING FOR A DAY

Seven week campers enjoyed yet another “wet and wild” day as they traveled to The Great Escape amusement park. This trip is another activity that happens between the two camp sessions. Dennis Mossberg explained, “I look forward to it and it’s another great gestory1reason to stay for the entire seven weeks. Plus it’s always good to ride the roller coasters with your friends.”

Some campers look forward to a favorite ride at The Great Escape. Rachael Schott and Emily Poirier have been riding the “Boomerang” together for many summers. Rachael gestory2admitted that she is a little afraid of heights, but that she “loves the adrenaline rush.” The best part she admits, “is when you get dropped after being suspended in mid air.”

Some campers choose to spend a majority of their day cooling off at the water park. “The Bucket” is a popular spot for campers to gather under while they eagerly wait for the giant bucket to fill up and then dump gallons of icy water on the masses below. One camper reported that this year “The Bucket” was not filling up the way is usually does, but that there is always next year.
