Boys and Girls Together

Coed section activities are always a popular option

  When asked about his favorite activity at camp, one Senior boy said “Anything coed”, and that is the sentiment of many boys and girls at camp. Yesterday evening was no exception, as several of the sections teamed up for their post-dinner activity. For the C.I.T. girls and Senior boys, it was their own unique Olympics, featuring arm wrestling and “high five showdown” (pictured below) among other events. One of the highlights, according to C.I.T. section head Cecilia Disney, was the “Snort Off” (at left), with Marissa Malloy finally prevailing in dramatic snorting fashion.

For the Highlander girls and the Intermediate boys, the game of choice was Coed Kickball...but with a twist. Each person had to be part of a coed trio, and the trio had to hold hands at all times, whether at bat or running the bases or playing defense in the field. It made for many hilarious situations and, as one trio noted, it was “a lot of fun, and a lot harder than it looks!”

And what about the Intermediate girls, who had no boys to play with? They might have had the most fun of all. The girls took full advantage of that afternoon’s torrential rains to have themselves a good, old-fashioned Mud Party, complete with dancing and sliding in the mud!
