TWO MORE JOIN THE CAMP FORTY-SIXER FAMILY

Monday afternoon at 1:21, on the summit of Big Slide mountain, Robin Farrell completed her Adirondack 46ers. She was joined by her C.I.T. section head, Cecilia Disney, who finished her 46 last week. Also on hand were several other campers, as well as Robin’s sister, Hannah, a session #1 camper who reutnred for the special day.

Mt. Colden was the site of the completion of a long quest: Former counselor Justin Ripman finished his 46... at 3:11pm on his 46th birthday. He climbed his first peak in 1981.  Along for the climb were Ripman’s entire family, who traveled from England, as well as close friend and Pok-O-MacCready camp director, Sharp Swan.

Both honored climbers received the esteemed privilege of chugging a jar of baby food-- a camp tradition. Pok-O-MacCready has 294 recorded Adirondack 46ers, dating back to 1955. (see roster)
