PLANNING FOR THE SUMMER

Promising the “Best summer ever!”

 Willsboro, NY, April 1-- Many of the counselors and staff of Pok-O-MacCready gathered at camp for a weekend of meetings designed to prepare and organize for the upcoming summer camp season.

   Led by Director Sharp Swan and assistant director Dana Beck, the group of section heads, specialists and programmers discussed issues concerning the programs, facilities and personnel.

   Much ground was covered. Head chef Mike Gast- in response to camper feedback- announced that there will be more extensive salad offerings in 2006.... Camp Director Sharp Swan reported that the staff consists of a mix of veterans, and “a lot new, younger enthusiastic counselors, many of whom were campers.”.... Admissions director Dana Beck mentioned that enrollment is going well and that many of the new campers have learned about camp via “word of mouth” from returning campers.....Co-Program director Tim Singer unveiled the summer schedule which comprises of all the favorite camp games, wilderness trips, horse shows, sporting competitions and special evening activities.

   By meeting’s end, the entire assemblage was ready for camp to begin right away. “I’m really pumped for the summer,” said one staffer, no doubt echoing the sentiments of the whole camp family.
