SECTION PROFILE: MacCREADY SENIOR

Pok-O-MacCready’s Largest Section with 46 Campers

by, Andrea Bucciarelli- Senior camper

Senior section at Camp MacCready is a very exciting place to be.  The section activities are always a favorite, from hiking Bare Mountain to Spa Night with the Highlanders. Everyone always has fun.

SrGirls     Not only is Senior section exciting and fun, but it is very special in the way of the nationalities of the campers. There are five girls from France:  Beatrix, Camille, Charlotte, Camille and Amelie.  There are two girls from Spain: Teresa and Carmen, and one girls from Mexico:  Natalia.

All the girls in Senior section are friends are friends, and always find a way to have fun, no matter what the weather may be like.

My personal favorite thing about Senior section is just how everyone gets along and has fun. During free swim, a bunch of girls go to one cabin to hang out and just have a good time, because that’s what Senior section is all about.

Cayuga Girls Win at Rolas

Camp MacCready’s second Indian Games contest of the season, Iroquois Nations Rolas, was held amidst a steady rainfall Saturday afternoon at the Pok-O-MacCready Rolas pitch.

“It was muddy and cold, but it was otherwise fun,” said Tuscarora Hannah Gilmore. “Really competitive, I reallyAlex liked it,” added Onondaga Sachem Meghan Rossini. Onondaga teamate Emily Poirier pointed out an advantage of the conditions:  “It’s more fun in the rain. You can slide.”

The Cayuga went undefeated as the 2004 Indian Games overall champions won all for of their games.  They were followed by the Tuscarora, Onondaga, Mohawk and Seneca.

Competition at the girls camp is now on hold until after Parents Day, while the boys will stage their Great Indian Boat Carnival tomorrow.
