the boating and wilderness programs. During the off-season, Kenny is a high school science teacher and recreational home renovator. His wife Marilyn, and their two children Rebecca and
Michael have long been associated with camp. Kenny is 46er # 1661W.
MICHELLE GOLDMAN - Horseback Riding First Year at Camp: 1997 University
: Dickinson Profession: Undergraduate
A former camper, counselor and assistant riding director, camp is honored to have
Michelle return for her first summer as Director. A lover of all things equestrian, Michelle also enjoys sports, and would like to becoming a 46er. She will graduate this spring with a
degree in International Business and Management.
KELLY SCHIULAZ – Pottery Specialist First Year at Camp: 2006
University: Adelphi Univsersity; Queen’s College Profession: Student
Renowned for her creativity, enthusiasm and easy-going attitude, “Pottery” Kelly
makes the pottery studio the place to be at Pok-O. She is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Art Education and working as a technical assistant for ceramics at Nassau
Community College. She enjoys spending time with friends and family and relaxing on the beach.
KELLY ZIMMERMAN - Boating Director
First Year at Camp: 1990 University: State University of New York Profession: School Counselor
Since her arrival at camp in 1990, Kelly has been an enthusiastic and versatile
contributor. She has served as a counselor, waterfront director, tutor, drama specialist and in 2009 will head up the boating program. Additionally, Kelly’s three children will be campers, her
two sisters and one brother have worked as counselors and section heads, and her parents are among camp’s strongest supporters. Kelly lives in Fairport, NY with her family and a plethora of pets, and is

BRIANNA LIVSEY – Swimming Director First Year at Camp
: 1993 University: University of California Profession: Undergraduate
Daughter of long-time MacCready Director Melissa Livsey, 2009 will be Bri’s fifth summer on staff. In 2008 she headed up the large CIT section. Originally from Austin,
TX, Brianna now attends UC-Berkeley. She is 46er #4797.
MARCY BERNSTEIN- Arts & Crafts First Year at Camp: 2008 University: Parson’s School of Design; SUNY New Paltz Profession: Art Teacher
A teacher at Newburgh Free Academy during the year, Marcy will be lending her
considerable artistic talents to camp again this summer. During her free time, Marcy enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and making art of all kinds. Her two children will be campers this summer.
ELIZABETH DISNEY- Wilderness
First Year at Camp: 1997 University: Colby College Profession: Undergraduate
A past camper and counselor, Elizabeth will assist with the wilderness program in 2009.
She comes highly qualified, having spent the ‘08 summer working high in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. An Adirondack 46er, tennis player, skiier and runner, Liz is also a two
-time winner of the Patch Sprint.
GREG MELE- Program Director First Year at Camp: 2008 University:
Profession: Teacher and Coach
Texas native Greg Mele debuted at Pok-O in 2008 as sports coordinator and this year
he will add to that title. As program director, Greg will be involved with weekly schedules, running special programs, while continuing to organize the inter-camp sports. Greg is a
private school teacher in Austin, his three children will be attending camp agin this summer
MARK SCOTT- Climbing Director First Year at Camp: 1993
University: Geneseo Profession: Climbing Director
Former camper Mark Scott joins the summer staff to lead climbing trips, as well as teach
rock climbing in the field and at the camp climbing facilities. Mark is expected to stay on after the summer to direct the program for the Outdoor Education Center, and to supervise the move
into the new year-round indoor climbing facility at Pok-O.
