OPENING DAY (Sun. 6/26) - Campers arrive! On tap for this day are camp tours, health checks and swim tests.
ACTIVITY FAIRS (Mon. 6/27) - Campers are taken around to all of the
class/activity areas, where counselors describe what the program's are all about.

The Mini-MacCready is a perfect intro to a summer of horse shows.

MINI MacCREADY HORSE SHOW – Riders of all levels
take part in an intra-camp Equestrian event designed to school them for competition throughout the summer. Read more about the Horseback Riding Program.
REVOLUTIONARY WAR (7/4) - The birthday of the USA is honored with a
camp-wide game that attempts to re-create (or in some cases alter) history as it was originally set forth. The entire camp is divided into two teams- Americans and British- and wage
“war” in a dozen different “cities” and “ports”. Counselors serve as commanding officers. On the
evening of the game- following the truce, of course! - the entire camp gathers

When you combine the thrill of the game itself with the timing of the event,
The Revolutionary War has proven to be a hugely successful early season game, blending excitement, camaraderie and camper-counselor interaction.
NEVIN WHITELY MEMORIAL TALENT SHOW (7/9) - A showcase for
campers acting, dancing, singing, and comedic skills as they compete for prizes and standing ovations.

INTER-CAMP SPORTS
- Both boys and girls compete individually, or a member of a team, against several area camps and recreation programs. Among
the sports contested: Baseball, softball, soccer, Ultimate Frisbee, basketball, archery, riflery, tennis, sailing and swimming. Read more here.

POK-O-MacCREADY PICNIC (Sat. 7/16) - Parents’ Day & Visiting Day. Visitors are welcome at camp after 9:00 am,
and are encouraged to watch their children take part in morning class activities. Following a themed buffet lunch, all visitors are welcome to use our swim dock,
boats, and athletic facilities. Parents taking their children out of camp must return by 7:00 pm. Staff will escort campers without visitors to the mall for an
afternoon of shopping and treats.

PLAY (Sat. 7/16) - Staff comedy performance that is designed to pick up the spirits of campers who might be a little down after their visitors leave.

Native American Days is one of the great highlights of the summer. |
NATIVE AMERICAN DAYS (7/19-7/20) - This is our version of a camp color war, and is unmatched in enthusiasm
and intensity by any other program at camp. Many a camper returns each year to participate in this most original and emotional of competitions. Read more about Native American Days here.
DRAMA PRODUCTION - The annual camp play will be performed at the
MacCready theatre. Campers will have spent the previous three weeks hard at work in rehearsals. Past productions include: Grease, Little Shop of Horrors, Guys and Dolls, High School Musical, The
Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan and many original productions.
THE LONG POND REGATTA - This is a sailing race set on Long Pond. Sailors hope to qualify as
one of the final four boats and from there, hope to win it all!
The MacCREADY HORSE SHOW
- MacCready hosts riders from other camps and equestrian programs to come compete for a multitude of ribbons and prizes while other campers cheer their
peers on.

FOUR-WEEK CEREMONIES (Sat. 7/23) - Awards are handed out for class and
sports team participation, achievement, wilderness involvement, years-of-service
and several special honors. Once the Award Ceremonies come to a close, all campers
gather in Robinson Hall to enjoy the long-awaited Slide Show, recapping the last four weeks in a collection of photographs, video clips, and songs!
FOUR-WEEKERS DEPART (Sun. 7/24) - An emotional day for the departing
campers, as well as those who remain to say “good-bye!” to their friends.
7 WEEKER BONUS CAMP (Sun. 7/24-Mon.7/25) - Special mid-camp experience ONLY for 7
-weekers! Go to the beach, the movies, take a trip to Great Escape and do other awesome activities in this exclusive mini session!
THREE-WEEKERS ARRIVE (Tues. 7/26) - Special activities and events are planned to help
orient the new campers and weave them into the program. Additionally, a class/activity seminar will
be held to assist the newly arriving campers with their selections. All campers can change their activity schedules for the three-week session.

THE BLUE & GRAY GAME: The Battle of Gettysburg (7/28) - The first of
the three-week program’s lineup of all-camp games, campers split into the Union
and Confederate Armies and reenact the battle for Little Roundtop and the town of
Gettysburg. Game play is modeled after the 4-Week session’s Rev War Game.

POK-O PALOOZA (7/28) - A ’60s-themed festival of art, music, dance and overall camp fun! A live band plays host while
various booths such as face painting, trivia, a zip-line, and fortune telling amuse and entertain the campers.
TRIP “WEEK” - A heavy concentration of overnight wilderness trips to
Adirondack Mountains and lakes highlight the summer-long wilderness trip program.

night!

CASINO NIGHT (8/4) - Try your luck. Test your skill. There is blackjack, poker,
craps, roulette, horse racing and a stock market. And, of course, food for everyone!
THE POK-O OPEN (8/4) - A camp wide tennis tournament featuring matches
and titles contested in both the ladies and gentlemen’s divisions.

watch their children compete in the Big MacCready.

BIG MacCREADY HORSE SHOW (Sun. 8/7) - The camp
opens its doors to Equestrian competitors from around the region, who try their talent and luck at competing against the Pok-O
-MacCready riders on their home turf. This is the culmination of the summer-long horseback riding program.
GREEK GAMES (8/8-8/9) - A two-day color war competition in which four
Greek city-states compete in a variety of events to win the favor of the Olympic
gods and goddesses. It culminates on Wednesday evening with a toga-clad camp at the Greek Feast.
JACK’S CUP (8/11)- Camp’s premiere sailing regatta. Top sailors qualify to compete and hope to
advance all the way to the cup.

candles, ushers out every memorable summer.

BANQUETS (8/10-8/11) - Annual banquet meal and awards ceremony. Among
the highlights: Presentation of Years-of-Service awards, the Pok-O "P" and MacCready "M", and
the naming of the prestigious "Honor Camper."
CAMPERS DEPART
(Sat. 8/13) – “See you next summer!”
FAMILY CAMP (Aug. 17-21) – Family Camp is five days of
fun for Alumni and their families, as well as for brand new
families. It is a great opportunity for reuniting, recreation and relaxation at Camp,
where the staff and the program cater to entire families.
