Campers at Pok-O-MacCready are divided into separate age groups, known as
“Sections.” They are organized slightly differently for girls and boys, and the age breakdowns appear below:

* Advanced Section and C.I.T. sections act as a counselor training program, combining traditional camper
activities with programs designed to prepare these campers to become staff members. Click here to

On most afternoons at the boys’ camp and on selected evenings at both the boys’ and girls’ camps, campers
take part in section activities. These are designed to meet the interests of that specific age group. (See section activities for more information.)
The size of sections at camp may vary from year to year depending on the number of campers from that
age group attending camp. In rare cases, and with prior approval, a camper may be placed in a section outside of his or her age group.
Each section has a “Section Head”, as well as anywhere from 3-10 staff members- each in charge of one
cabin- to ensure a proper staff-to-camper ratio.
