Our 15 and 16 year old campers take part in a Counselor-in-Training program (C.I.T.’s at Camp MacCready and the Advanced Section or ADV at Pok-O-Moonshine). This unique opportunity gives them the chance to have
a fun-filled summer while learning valuable skills. Both groups will assist counselors in approximately half of their classes, for example, helping out in a beginning horseback riding class. Also, once a
week each C.I.T. or Advanced Section member will aid with a younger cabin at bedtime and morning wake-up.
In addition to these duties, the C.I.T.’s and ADV will be called upon as a group to perform other responsibilities. During these tasks they will be learning firsthand how to work with children, responsibility,
teamwork and leadership. These characteristics combine to create our top notch Pok-O-MacCready staff. Of course, there’s still plenty of time to enjoy everything that Pok-O-MacCready has to offer as well!
