SUMMER CAMP SPECIALIST – Positions may be open for specialist instructors in Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking, and Horseback Riding.
TERMS OF SERVICE: June 15th - August 12th, 2012
* EMPLOYMENT OPTION: August 15 – August 21, 2012 for Family Camp
SALARY: Offering will be based on age and experience
DESCRIPTION: Instruct techniques of skill, safety and motivation in field of
specialty; Supervise the instruction of and equipment maintenance; Possibly lead day-long and overnight wilderness trips; Assist with other facets of camp program
QUALIFICATION: Candidate should be at least 20 years old with a driver’s
license. Past experience in your field of specialty is required.
SUMMER CAMP NURSE – Roving Nurse
TERMS OF SERVICE: July 7th - July 22nd, 2012 (dates approximate)
SALARY: Offering will be based on age and experience
*SALARY OPTION: Internship. Services in exchange for stipend and/or credit
DESCRIPTION: Assist the camp Health Director and camp nurses; Supervision of
“infirmed” campers; Work with staff on the distribution of camper medicines and first aid kits; Serve as camp nurse when another is on a day off.
QUALIFICATION: Candidate should be at least 20 years old with a driver’s
license. Certified RN’s, LPN’s or other medical degrees are preferred, although all candidates with experience or education in health and first aid will be considered.
SUMMER CAMP KITCHEN STAFF
TERMS OF SERVICE: June 15 - August 12, 2011 (approximate)
SALARY: Offering will be based on age and experience
DESCRIPTION: The summer camp kitchen staff will assist the Head Chef in all aspects
of running an efficient summer camp kitchen, while working as a team in a fun and safe environment. Daily tasks include meal preparation and serving, unloading supply deliveries, operation of
commercial kitchen equipment, and regular cleaning of kitchen facilities to exceed the standard of the New York State Department of Health. The weekly schedule is broken down
into shifts as assigned by the Head Chef.
QUALIFICATION: Candidate should have experience working in a commercial kitchen,
adhere to the weekly shift schedule as assigned by the Head Chef, be able to complete assigned tasks in an efficient manner under little supervision, and be a proactive team player who cooperates
with other staff members and the Head Chef. The position requires a reasonable amount of physical activity, such as unloading supply deliveries and standing while working. Interested applicants
