SUMMER CAMP COUNSELORS – Cabin and Activity Leaders

TERMS OF SERVICE:  June 16 - August 14, 2011

* EMPLOYMENT OPTION:  August 18 – August 23, 2011 for Family Camp

SALARY:  Offering will be based on age and experience

DESCRIPTION:  Live with and supervise campers; Create, lead, instruct or assist leadership of activities; Lead or assist wilderness trips, sports, and arts, among others.

QUALIFICATION:  Energy and enthusiasm, passion for working with children and a love for the outdoors.   Candidate should be at least 18 years old .  Prior experience as a camper, junior counselor or staff member at Pok-O-MacCready or elsewhere is a plus, though not a requirement.

 

SUMMER CAMP SPECIALIST – Positions may be open for specialist instructors in Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking, Crafts and Horseback Riding.

TERMS OF SERVICE:  June 17 - August 14, 2011

* EMPLOYMENT OPTION:  August 17 – August 23, 2011 for Family Camp

SALARY:  Offering will be based on age and experience

DESCRIPTION:  Instruct techniques of skill, safety and motivation in field of specialty; Supervise the instruction of and equipment maintenance;  Possibly lead day-long and overnight wilderness trips;  Assist with other facets of camp program

QUALIFICATION:  Candidate should be at least 20 years old with a driver’s license.  Past experience in your field of specialty is required.

 

SUMMER CAMP NURSE – Roving Nurse

TERMS OF SERVICE:  June 17 - August 14, 2011 (Flexible)

SALARY:  Offering will be based on age and experience

*SALARY OPTION:  Internship. Services in exchange for stipend and/or credit

DESCRIPTION:  Assist the camp Health Director and camp nurses; Supervision of “infirmed” campers; Work with staff on the distribution of camper medicines and first aid kits; Serve as camp nurse when another is on a day off.

QUALIFICATION:  Candidate should be at least 20 years old with a driver’s license.  Certified RN’s, LPN’s or other medical degrees are preferred, although all candidates with experience or education in health and first aid will be considered.
