TO: ALL “46-IN-A-DAY” PARTICIPANTS AND VOLUNTEERS FROM: Tim Singer, Jim Kobak, Dana Beck: EVENT ORGANIZERS FINAL NOTICE FOR THE 2007 “46-IN-A-Day” General Information REGISTRATION: If you have yet to fill out a registration form, please download and either email it back or bring it with you on Friday evening. This will give us a proper accounting of who’s taking part, and what the donation amounts are. PRE-HIKE MEETING: An organizational get together is planned for Friday, August 17 at 8:30pm. Attendance is encouraged, but not mandatory. At the meeting, we will give out special edition water bottles, discuss necessary transportation, pass out maps, go over climbing routes and match up late registrants with climbing groups. LODGING: is complimentary and is being provided by Pok-O-MacCready camps for REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS ONLY. Accommodations have been assigned for requesting registrants. If you would like to stay Saturday evening, or if you have not been assigned housing, but wish to stay at camp, please contact Dana at (518) 963-7656. You are free to make off-campus housing arrangements, but your assigned housing assignment will be the only camp facility available for your use. In accordance with camp regulations, alcohol will not be permitted on Pok-O-MacCready property. SATURDAY BREAKFAST: Complimentary bagels, cream cheese, juice, cereal and fruit will be served in Robinson Hall from 6:00-8:00am. For late departing hikers, a traditional breakfast will be served at 8:00am. POST HIKE PARTY: A barbecue dinner will start at 6:00pm at the junior ball field outside of Robinson Hall. A “tote board” will be posted displaying the progress of the day’s hikes. This will be an alcohol-free event.

Hiking Information DEPARTURE TIME: Climbers are free to be on the trail any time they choose, but you must be on the summits on August 18 only. If possible, you should plan on being back at camp by 6:00pm. ALL HIKERS Should plan on recording their summit times. This is essential…. In addition, we ask that you try and take a photo on every mountain summit. The photo should preferably be of at least one climber holding up the “46-in-a-Day” water bottle. If you don’t have a camera, please use your phone; pictures can be transferred later…. Please try and call camp from the top of your last mountain to verify your ascent. Virtually all summits have cell service. (Contact numbers appear below) “COMMAND POST”: Tim Singer will be stationed at or near camp throughout the day, tracking climbers’ progress and responding to unexpected developments. ALL PARTICIPANTS: Must pay their donation amount at the post hike barbecue. Please make checks out to “Adirondack Scholarship Foundation”. If you don’t plan on attending the dinner, please mail your checks (ASAP) to: P.O. Box 397, Willsboro, NY 12996. ATTN: Fiona Dubuss. PARKING AT CAMP: If the Pok-O-Moonshine parking lot and sand pit are full, please park at the Counselor lot (CPL) near the head of the driveway. GUESTS: The post-hike barbecue is for registered participants and Family Camp attendees only. Unregistered guests may attend the post hike barbecue for a fee of $5.00. However, we request that you please alert us in advance.
